Seven Stars Of Matariki Week 8 ( Wednesday) 20/6/2018

This week our class has been learning about Matariki. They are able to talk about the significance of Matariki as the Maori New Year. They understand that Matariki is a cluster of stars in the sky. There are about a thousand stars in Matariki but only seven can be seen with the naked eyes. We have been reading and listening to some of the Maori legends one being the Seven Stars of Matariki. Here are some of the stars of Matariki that the  students have coloured and decorated.

  1. Ka pai #Tumanako10 for your #Matariki work ...

  2. WOW... their Matariki artwork looks amazing! I love the photos that show students engagement in learning.
